Awhitu Presbyterian Camp

Judy and I attended the South Auckland Caravan Club rally to the Awhitu Presbyterian Camp on the Awhitu Peninsula about a 100km south and west of Auckland on the 9th Nov returning home on Sunday the 11th. 22 caravans and motor homes were there. The weather was raining on Friday night and a light drissel fell as we were leaving after lunch on the Sunday, but the weather in between was excellent. We enjoyed the company, some walks down to the beach etc, and housey on Saturday evening in the camp hall. Saturday afternoon also had us preparing some white bait fritters followed by strawberries and cream. Yum. It was a very enjoyable weekend. The camp facilities are excellent. We had use of the hall, kitchen area, toilets and showers, and plenty of room to park our vehicles and space for games etc. The 27th of December is fast approaching when we leave for the South Island.
